It is used in various medical and cosmetic products, including Cetraben cream, due to its moisturizing and lubricating properties. In addition to creams, mineral oil is often found in ointments, lotions, and can also be used as a laxative.
Cetraben cream is for external use only. Before using for the first time, prime the pump by depressing fully to remove air. Repeat until cream is produced by the pumping action. Wash and dry hands before using. Apply a small amount of Cetraben Cream (Paraffinum Liquidum) to the affected area as directed. Gently rub the product into the skin in the direction of hair growth, if applicable.
Potential side effects include skin irritation, redness, or rash. Allergic reactions occur rarely. May cause gastrointestinal discomfort if inadvertently ingested. If this product is ingested, seek medical attention for further advice. Avoid contact with eyes.
